reality bites

The picture above was a "Pulitzer price" winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan Famine. It depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards a United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.

The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked the entire world. What happens to the child? No one knows, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left the place as soon as the photograph was taken.

-Three months later, he committed suicide due to depression.

...I had goosebumps the moment I saw this photo. Isn't it so disturbing and alarming? Although this happened years ago but come to think of it, the situation today is even worst! There are those people who lived life as they please, taking things for granted. Yet on the other side of the earth such life exist, even to children who doesn't have the choice but to struggle. And there are these issues, nonsense issues. The authorities are buying those crap, putting much of their time and attention. The question is, will it make these peoples lives better? Indeed, the world needs a divine intervention, only He can set the matters right.

Thank you so much Junaid Ahmad for sharing this tale.
