after Ondoy

I don't know but for the past few days I seem to just neglect my online duties. What's even worst is that it doesn't bother me at all. So I gave myself an ultimatum, this blogger's block or whatever you wish to call it must come to an end, or else this could be a dead link soon.. oh no!

Alright enough about my uncomplicated life, this isn't about me anyway. I just have to say my piece about Ondoy, the storm that blew us away! I lived here in the Southern most tip of the Philippines and the rain showers and strong winds we had here last Saturday, Sept. 26 was nothing compared to what the people in NCR experienced. You've seen the news and the pictures no doubt and words aren't enough to describe the damage, the pain, and the lost Pinoys are goin thru right now. Rich and poor, no material possession was able to save them during the storm. As if I was watching a movie, with heroes and their acts of heroism, authorities and their power, victims and their plots, and countless of hair-raising scenes befalling upon them. But it's no movie definitely! It was the reality that struck us for just a single day. I honestly wish am there now, helping out and doing what I can. Seeing the aftermath leaves me breathless. The woman below was just among the victims in Marikina, one of the hardest hit by the storm.

As of the news this morning, there are 100 plus people reported to be dead. Many others are still missing and many more are still not rescued.

My prayers goes out for them, especially to our many brothers and sisters in faith. Jah will provide escape!

disgusting!

Ate AF forwarded me an email msg. this morning. As usual, I'm excited to read it because she never fails to amaze me with lovely emails. But I was shock!!! As in super uber shock! It was different from the other emails she sends me, for this time it was about a disgusting news. The world is so wicked these days, but this news is beyond wicked, far more than wicked! It's inhumane and barbaric. Looking at the disgusting pictures is unbearable, made me lose my senses.
Whether this news is true or false, I don't know!

I really like to post it here, the article and the pictures, but it will be a cause for violent reactions believe me!

zamboanga update

I've been seeing so many deportees from Malaysia here in Zamboanga now. It's in the news all the time. Filipinos without legal papers in Malaysia are being deported back to the Philippines, and since Zamboanga is the nearest port of entry, it's seems that our city is flooded with people already,LOL! The deportees are actually from LuzViMinda, but they don't want to go back home because they still want to go back abroad. Their means of living and basically their life are all there. The sad part is that, there are so many children also being deported. Without their parents and families. The news said that their parents may have legal documents, but the kids are aliens in malaysia so they are thrown over here. The local government takes care of these children now in the mean time. Sure there will still be much more deportees. More batches to come. I feel sorry for them. I hope that there will be possitive updates regarding these problem.

Butchoy!

That's the name of the typhoon we are experiencing right now at western part of Mindanao. Strong wind and heavy rainshowers since last wednesday. Last night we thought that the roof would rip off,LOL! scaryyy! We lived near the river, so we are in constant monitor if it doesn't like go OVER na! Then the streets are soooo muddy, and baha...MEN! I'm planning to take some pics, but was not able to buy some battery yet..hihihi! Because of the rain, it just stops for a while then it pours again and again and again. I hope butchoy will leave us soon.
